Video: Don’t Mine Bauxite Inside Atewa Forest

Watch this short video to understand how bauxite is mined and the case of Awaso; a typical bauxite mining community in Ghana, where bauxite has been mined for 78 years now. The wild claims that the low grade bauxite in Atewa Forest Reserve can be mined sustainably without destroying water (for 5 million people) and biodiversity is seriously questionable and untrue. We are urging government to take Atewa forest out its bauxite mining plans because it provides water to over 5 million people. #SaveAtewa4Water #SDG6
